I promised pictures of my aquarium progress. I fail it.
Unable to find what I went looking for in the city, I turned to the online stuporstores. The local store I first hit basically told me to leave if I didn't like the stock they had on hand when I inquired about a special order. I probably could have been talked into using their stock on hand had they approached it politely. Oh well. I'm about solutions, not trying to help out someone who feels I owe them a living just because they exist.
So, hopefully I'll have pictures next weekend when my stuff gets here. Hopefully.
Mrs. NFB's mission was to find an appropriate piece of furniture for the aquarium to rest on. She found an awesome little real wood endtable that's sturdy enough it can hold my fat ass sitting on it. I probably weigh twice what the aquarium will weigh filled. Good enough. And it looks really, really good. That's even better.
BREAK
Movies this weekend:
Deathwatch - the description of the movie says it's set in World War II, but the opening scene has a dateline of 1917, and it's all trench warfare and shit. Somebody got a wire crossed somewhere. Pretty good movie with a lot of open-ended questions. Mrs. NFB's thoughts were that it was about purgatory. My thought was it was more a gatekeeper situation. These guys are already dead, and the trench is all about sorting out those worthy of going to heaven, and those not. Either way, it's a good horror movie with some neat philosophical twists.
Mrs. NFB's movie never arrived from Netflix this past week, so we ended up watching:
Sixteen Candles - "No more yanky mah wanky, the Dongah needs food!" It's a good movie. Not the best of that group. That'd be Breakfast Club. But still enjoyable to watch. Also weird to compare and contrast the girl getting married to "Auntie Ruth" from "The Girl Next Door." Either life rode her hard and put her away wet, or the makeup artists were really excellent in the latter.
BREAK
Mrs. NFB made her super awesome from scratch spaghetti sauce yesterday. Not only is it spicy and stupendous, but she makes enough of it that you can just load it up as much as you want and know there's always gonna be more sitting there. Mmmm.
THUMBS UP!
Enough. Outz.
